A recommended read. Rural life in California after the war amidst a motley selection of travellers thrown together and tackling a disaster. Lots of emotional undertones, conflict and passion but no naughty bits! Fabulous writing that is quick and to-the-point. Worth finding and realising why this author was and is so acclaimed.
I’m in the midst of planning another home-cook-along with other visually impaired people. The session with the Portsmouth Macular Degeneration team went so well, I thought I’d give it a go with fellow Blind Veterans. Just hoping that some of them might be keen too.
Miserable time trying to sort out the newish i-phone. It seems that I have a slightly wandering right eye (who’d know when it has no sight). Facial recognition seems impossible to set up and returning to the fingerprint access is such old technology.
Another speaking engagement this week: U3A at Stubbington just down the road. I hope that their cakes are as good as the WIs’. Last time with them was a big Strawberry Fields gathering of five groups who made a wonderful and welcoming audience.
First Christmas present wrapped – smug or what?
