3 thoughts on changes to disability benefits.

  1. Loads of disabled people want to work. I spent years working in an area with the 4th highest level of disabled people in the local population.  There were masses keen to work and we had a 40% success rate.    Harvest those quick, easy wins and change attitudes of everyone else at the same time.
  2. Why “back-to-work”? Surely employers have to make reasonable adjustments rather than just sack people with life-changing health conditions?  Time the Employment Tribunals did their job.
  3. Disability champions. Let’s see and hear from those who’ve actually done it: got the job, new career,, changed their lives regardless of those life-changing conditions.  Authenticity can be so much more persuasive than spin.
